Green Shoot Productions is dedicated to commissioning and producing new writing for the stage to the highest possible standards and to making theatre which is socially, politically and culturally relevant to the population of Northern Ireland.
Green Shoot Productions seeks to promote the working class and other marginalised voices that are under-represented within the theatre. We constantly strive to attract new audiences and participants. Community engagement forms the foundation of all aspects of the company’s approach and activity.

As a professional arts organisation we believe it is incumbent upon us to strive to achieve the highest possible standards we can with the resources available to us. Nothing less is acceptable.
Our values come from firstly, our life experiences and secondly, our knowledge and skills gained and developed over many years of professional theatre production. Our life experience has demonstrated clearly and consistently that the majority of people in our society don’t attend the professional theatre, nor participate as creators. This is especially true of people from working class and other marginalised communities. Our values therefore respond to this situation and we aspire, as an organisation, to help change those conditions.
